I continue to just love this series! Kate Shugak is a marvelous heroine, the history of Alaska and the antics of the native people is just enthralling.

In this installment, Kate goes undercover on an Alaskan crab boat where two crew members disappeared. The story is very detailed regarding the crabbing industry. Lucky for me I just watched Deadliest Catch on Thanksgiving, so everything they were doing was something I could picture which made my understanding of the danger and freezing temperatures that Kate was experiencing that much more real and horrifying. Poor Kate didn't just have one trip to endure, this boat went out three times before Kate got the evidence she needed to end her torturous adventure. As usual, a terrific mystery detailing the dangers and beauty of Alaska.

Carolyn F. I thought of the Deadliest Catch too while I read this. I found her at a library sale and I'm glad I did :)

Barbara ★ I greatly enjoy anything Alaskan and this series really works for me.
