So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish (Hitchhiker's Guide, #4)

** spoiler alert **
Spectacular book. Of coarse I might be little impartial because I think I'm slightly in love with Douglas Adams, not in a gay way, more like I want to roll around naked in his words. (I guess that might be construed a bit homo-erotically.) I truly would be overjoyed if the belief in resurection through sacrifice were real. I would hunt Stephenie Meyer down right now and trade her for old Douglas. (Here's hoping that our most-likely non-existant God likes poorly written teen romance novels.) Now to get back to the matter at hand. While still retaining the wit that all the Hitchhiker novels contained, So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish almost seems apart of a different series. It's mostly set on Earth which has inexplicably reappeared (Possibly the Earth Magrathea was finishing at the first book) and Arthur Dent has inexplicably stumbled back upon Earth. (I love inexplicability.) From there on it almost more-so resembled a Dirk Gently novel but with less Quantumn Physics conundrums. It humouressly end with the last message from God: "Sorry for the inconvience."

“Life... is like a grapefruit. Well, it's sort of orangey-yellow and dimpled on the outside, wet and squidgy in the middle. It's got pips inside, too. Oh, and some people have half a one for breakfast.”
