This is a Looooonnnnngggg story that packs quite the emotional punch. Angst galor, along with several darker elements. At first, I didn't enjoy the flashback sequences as it felt like I was reading a book about two completely seperate couples. Which I was, in a sense, but still, it took me a bit to get used to it and by the time I got to part two, I thought they added to the story instead of taking away from it.

My biggest beef with this story is the ending. It felt like a pat on the back when what I really wanted was a great big hug after all that angst and emotional build up. I normally wouldn't give a book 5 stars with an ending like that, but this one deserved it anyway.
