I used this with my girls' Sunday School class. The high school/early college age girls like this work because there is a story line with romance. I found it helpful because it engaged their interest as it 'preached' personal holiness. Girls at this age need all the reminders, subtle or otherwise, in focusing on what they are and what they are becoming. Mrs. Prentiss does not provide a sentimental view of sin and is good in showing the slow growth in becoming holier and in the hard truth that we never arrive. I would not recommend that men read this because it deals with life from a decidedly female voice.
