Fun, quick cop story - combining two cold cases and a cold case serial killer (not that they all connect), Buchanan introduces us to the small Miami Cold Case Squad and their little corner of the world. Makes Miami sound icky in many different ways but exciting at the same time. Always something happening. I'll be interested to see if all the same characters returned - they are all interesting and likeable in their own ways - from the "main" character Sgt. Burch to his subordinates Stone and Nazario and their Lt. Riley. While it was a tad formulaic in that the bad guys get theirs and the good guys come out of the confrontations okay (maybe a little worse for wear), it still flowed nicely. My only complaint was the switching of Burch's story telling from first person to third and back again and it didn't make much sense why this was. . .

James Thane I remember that I enjoyed this book, although I've long forgotten the details of the plot. I should re-read it.
