Well, I have finished yet another book by Mr. Moore. This book has yet another wonderful cast of characters set in the city of San Francisco including the lovable "Emperor" and his 2 dogs from "A Dirty Job". This story is about a woman named Jody who wakes up under a dumpster one evening to soon find out that she has been turned into a vampire. She doesn't remember it happening and quickly tries to figure out how to go about being vampire. Her maker didn't stick around to show her the ropes nor did he leave a vampire manual. Actually, all he left her was a huge roll of cash. The story takes off from there. I liked the story, but it definitely wasn't as funny as "A Dirty Job" or "Coyote Blue". Don't get me wrong, it has it's moments, but I guess I was expecting more. The Emperor is fast becoming a favorite character and I'm happy to find out that there are sequels to this book that will hopefully include him. Maybe now that the character development is done in this book, the books that follow will contain more of the hilarity. Crossing my fingers that it will be so.
