really liked it
bookshelves: high-school

It was nice to have read Pride & Prejudice before reading this book just to help me get a feel of that time-period Jane was entering in: the clothing, the dialog, the etiquette of London 200 years ago. However, Shannon Hale brought that time-period right into the 21st century. It was great! I loved the vacation Jane went on. One NEVER gets to do something like that. Though, in a way if such a place were real that would be... wow... kind of inappropriate. This character however was not married and I very much enjoyed being there while she worked through her obsessions of Mr. Darcy. Humm... he is such an intense fellow.

There are a few swear words, kissing scenes, and eye-widening discussions about body parts. The main character is in her early 30s, but I think this would be fine for readers 18 and up.
