I love a good series, and I also love that Orson Scott Card created the Enderverse, if you will, with several different types of book. This book is very different from Ender's Game and Ender's Shadow. It takes on a lot more strategy and politics. Much of the book is spent listening to the characters think--mostly about military and survival strategy. For all the abstract military talk, the book never failed to connect emotionally and brought me to tears more than once. It's taking all of my restraint to get some work done before moving on to Shadow Puppets.

Jennifer Really? I found it emotionally disconnected. Also, sorry, but Petra felt flat and very 90s hero girl.
