** spoiler alert ** For the longest time all I knew about The Hunger Games Trilogy came from "Team Peeta" and "Team Gale" buttons found on Facebook and in message board signatures. This, sadly, was enough to put me off the books. Love triangles don't interest me and the "Team" thing was too reminiscent of Twilight.

I finally got past my aversion and read The Hunger Games and I'm glad I did, but I still worried that book two would be all about choosing Peeta or Gale. There is a love triangle of sorts, but it's not nearly as prominent as I expected. In fact, it seems a little overblown by all the Team Peeta and Team Gale cheers. Instead, the main story builds on the unrest of the Districts and the Capitol's revenge on Katniss.

Overall, I didn't enjoy Catching Fire as much as The Hunger Games, but it's a solid second book and it left me looking forward to the third.
