I hate to believe that the things in this book really happened even though I know that they did. It must have been terrifying to live in those times, especially if you were 'different'. It's no wonder that people rebelled. But it's so sad that people used this type of conduct and manipulation for personal gain. I am so thankful that I did not live in those times. When I was a child I lived in Boston for awhile. I would like to have gone and visited Salem. I would still like to one day.
