Deputy Dana Birch knows that Garth Duncan is up to something fishy. He has revenge on his mind and she is determined to protect her best friends the Titan sisters from his wrath. The fact that they are his half-sisters just add to the messiness. The problem is that the more time she spends with him the harder it is to stay prickly.

Why I picked it up: The implies that Dana has trust issues, that she will never place herself at the mercy of a powerful man... and yet she is a deputy. That dichotomy intrigued me. And confused me, I had to read more to understand how that made sense.

Why I finished it: Mallery is light and breezy romance author. While she's not my favorite I know that I will enjoy reading thru her back list.
