bookshelves: read-in-2010, scifi

Gave it three chapters. Not for me. Unconvincing female protags.

Juju Never judge a book by it's cov- uh, first three chapters?

Seriously though, this review isn't very helpful, can you elaborate?

Richard I am in agreement, Mur.
Juju - this may not be Mur's thinking, but i found them weak because they both seemed to be very similar 'badass' types, in the idiom of a million female protagonists from the explosion in 'romantic horror' fiction that has swept shelves like a tidal wave of bilious blood-stained silk over the past decade.
In short, the 22nd century BC female sounds far more like a 21st century LA teen than a cave woman.
Hope that helps.
