They are in college and on the la cross team. Neither is sure if the other likes them because they keep getting mixed signals. Lots and lots and lots of angst. They finally make a move and realize they are "the one". Coming out to their parents takes some bravery and they don't get the reactions they expected. They do have to deal with violence against them from their teammates and one teammate is murdered for being suspected for being gay so this is an issue that is brought to the forefront and is something they have to deal with and take a stand against. Overall a really good book, especially if you enjoy a great deal of angst.
