This is Pintoff's second novel involving Detective Simon Ziele and criminologist Alistair Sinclair.

Chorus girls, found elaborately dressed and made up as leading ladies, are murdered. The murderer leaves no marks of violence, but taunts police with written notes. Charles Frohman, a big name in Broadway theater in the early 1900's, is involved in that the murders occur in his theaters.

As with her first novel, Pintoff does an excellent job of combining exciting storytelling with attention to details regarding the historical time period in which the novel is set.

I look forward to her next entry in this series!
