it was amazing
Read from July 17 to 21, 2010

I have been a fan of Ms. Sims since I read The Phoenix several years ago. I can't say enough about this new book. Counterpoint: Dylan's Story is a beautiful love story from start to finish. There's nothing I would improve and her characters will linger in my head for days. I inhaled this first read, tearing throught it like glutton. I plan to read it again, but this time, savoring every passage. Her mastery of time and location, her word choices, the attention to detail, and the fierce love between her characters is palpable, and this is what makes this worthy of a five star rating. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves historicals, but more importantly, anyone who believes in love.

Ruth Sims Mickie, what a nice surprise, to find your comment just now. Thank you! I must say, it brightened an otherwise dismal Saturday! I'm so glad you enjoyed it. If you live to be 165, you may see another book by me! lol I'm slow.

Did you know about the short stories I have out from Untreed Reads? The last one, especially, "Song on the Sand" I think you'd enjoy. UR's books are, as Iunderstand it, available for all kinds of readers that there are.

Mickie Ashling You are so welcome, Ruth. I loved the book! I had to get the ebook immediately because I wanted instant gratification, and boy, was I gratified:)

My paperback should be arriving shortly and I plan on reading it again; a lot slower this time.

I'll check out Song on the Sand and add it to my pile of future reads.

Ruth Sims I hope you like Song on the Sand. It's much different from my novels. Or maybe it isn't really. I don't know. I'm not very objective. lol
