This is just so horrible!
As in painful. I think I'm turning into a masochist. I can't keep away from heart-breaking books.
It's hard to read something about death, so damned hard. It made me think: if I was Tessa, how would have I felt?
Imagine this: four years of fight against a disease, with a probability that you're going to die at the end.
You're too young, only sixteen, but your life is slipping away from your fingertips. You're dying. Your dreams, your wishes are all worthless. You'll never get to get married, have kids, and go to college. It's a freaking dead end.
Tessa has a hint of childishness in her voice, she's not even that mature. But she's going to die. Soon.
The way she was self-centered was bugging me off from the start, but I couldn't help feeling pity. She was dying.
I didn't agree much with Zoey and couldn't really understand why Tessa still hung around her, but I have to admit, Zoey was the only friend that stuck around. I give her kudos for that.
As to Adam, I liked him a lot. It hurt how they both finally found love but it was not meant to happen. No matter what they did.
I wish there's a sequel to this. An aftermath. I want to know what happened to their lives after her death.
