Possibly one of the most disappointing sequels I've ever read. The magic from the first novel is gone.

Instead of character development, or plot, the reader is subjected to battle after battle. The tension cannot be sustained through the whole novel and the story, such as it is, becomes exceedingly boring and dull.

I do plan to read the third book in the series soon. Hopefully it will be better than the placeholder that is the second.
