This book is not for the faint of heart. It's quite graphic but the author does a very good job of storytelling, I couldn't put it down. This is book 2 in the series.

Sara is at a skating rink skating around waiting for her ex, Jeffrey the police chief to come and see her. Sara is the pediatrician of a small town in Georgia. She sees some of her patients while waiting. She sees Jenny, a 13 year old girl that she sees as a patient go into the restroom with two other girls just as Jeffrey shows up. While talking to him, he gets a call and goes outside to talk. Jenny is in the parking lot with a gun threatening to shoot a boy her age. She has blood all over her hands. Jeffrey gets backup to come while he tries to talk her down. What happens next and the secrets uncovered in the next week will blow you away. Tough subject matter but a very good story.
