Jonah Lehrer is by far my favorite author in all subjects dealing with current biological and neurological (plus many other scientific fields) research, and their societal implications. The only reason I can't give this book five stars is that I've heard much of the information before in my studies, listenings, and readings. However, for the majority of individuals picking up this book, all of this information will be new and thus up this book to five star quality.

Essentially, this book breaks down the areas of the brain activated when making different types of decisions, states the pros and cons of rational thinking and making decisions solely on emotions, and provides many captivating anecdotes to help imprint the information into ones memory.

I would recommend this book to anyone who has interest in authors such as Malcom Gladwell or Oliver Sacks, and personally, I think Lehrer exceeds these talented individuals with his style of prose and explanation of complicated research. All things considered, a highly enjoyable read.
