Cade has moved himself to my top ten (Roarke from the In Death series is, of course, number 1) favorite male characters.

Wow! What a book. What an experience.

There is pain, loneliness, grief-unbearable grief, and a cliffhanger that had my jaw dropping.

Oh, and the sex scenes pretty darn good, too. :-)

There was humor, joy, and one scene that had me yelling, literally, "Damn, now THAT is an alpha-male fest!" Yowza!

Yes, there are similarities to other books, but I truthfully did not notice them until after I finished the book. I was just too darn engrossed to be critical.

I loved the females in this book, despised a few of them, and pitited a couple.

READ THIS BOOK NOW! Then come back and tell me if I was just caught up in the moment or if it really is a great read!

Oh, have to add one more thing...the audio version, which I started with, was AWFUL! I couldn't tell the men from the women and the women apart after a while. Don't waste your time.
