This book has been sitting on my bookshelf for year. Literally. It's lived in three apartments and my house. Thanks to Audrey choosing it for book club, I finally got around to reading it.

I loved every second. Life of Pi is a beautifully written survival story. I loved the descriptions. I love the imagery. I loved Richard Parker. I will definitely be reading this again.

Side note: I worked in a bookstore when this book came out. It was shelved in the young adult section and no where else. Don't get me wrong, I love young adult fiction, but this is the kind of book that gets sent to young adult to die. I'm so glad it's now shelved in both the young adult AND fiction sections.
