I think if I ever recommend this book to a kid (which I'm already thinking of buying the whole series for my sister-in-law whose birthday is coming up) I will encourage them to look up every proper noun on Wikipedia because the naming is just too awesome.
A little more "mythology" or "lore" starts to come out in this book.
I feel like these are sort of Roald Dahl books for this generation. The total incompetence of adults and their willingness to completely overlook ridiculous circumstances is funny but yet sometimes feels all too true.
The only downside: aside from some (possibly) ragged claws scuttling across the floor of the Baudelaires' dwelling, Prufrock Preperatory School did not live up to its name.
