Marc Morris's praise of Edward was a bit overblown in my opinion. And, his blame on Llywelyn for the last battle was totally un-called for inasmuch as the Welsh were defending their own land. Edward was the invader. He wasn't the only one, I agree, but to praise him for his slaughter of natives and grabbing of their land just doesn't go down right. I thought, in the 21st century, we'd grown beyond that and learned to admit to mistakes of our ancestors. Perhaps not.

anna Didn't Lleywlyn himself though 'grab land' with was not his own in Wales?
