The scientologists lured me in one sleepy summer when
my brain was mushable and I took their tests and read this book and somehow
I was smart enough to see through the whole mess, and this was way before
all of Hollywood was signing up for it.

When I read Dianetics I thought what a bunch of pop psychology
then I realized it was written in the late '40s published in 1950,
so I gotta hand it to the guy for being way ahead of his time.

Many authors have said about the same thing since, though
they usually don't start their own religion.
