really liked it
bookshelves: history-fiction, fancy-fiction
Read in March, 1981

An excellent read, which we had to for Contemporary Literature. Hard to
go wrong with a prof that assigns thrillers like these. Makes fancy
book learnin' a lot more fun.

Soldier leaving Vietnam falls into the old drug deal gone bad, though which by now
we've seen many times, but when this was written, it was probably one of the prototypes.

I like the protagaonist's Nietzchean outlook and his dogged
determination to achieve his goal.
