it was amazing
bookshelves: non-fiction, 2014
Read from April 16 to 19, 2014

Excellent read. Lyrical prose that is seductive and/or enticing, but not compelling. I could easily put the book down, but the second I read a few sentences, I was sucked into the story. This reads more like fiction than nonfiction which makes this reader slightly more horrified every time the reality of the Clutter Murders bubbles up.

I read this as a counterpoint to Harper Lee (since Capote & Lee were good friends); and I am not disappointed. Capote's style and word choice seems much more sophisticated than Lee...maybe that is the topic of choice? I plan to read more of Capote's work in the future.
