I started this series with book 2 and I loved it so much that I wanted to read book one. I found there were a lot of differences to me in the two books. This does make sense to me because Dark Deceptions was her first book in the series. So it's not hard for me to understand why Dangerous Desires had a much easier flow with less information and talk on the technical side, basically for me having just enough to peak your interest but not bore you. With this book however I found myself skipping a little too much because I felt there was way too much technical jargon, which caused me to skip a lot of the chatter and me skipping I don't feel hindered the story in any way. I'm sure though I would have a better connection to all the other characters had I stuck with it and not allowed myself to skip and don't get me wrong though I still liked it very much and found myself at some parts laughing out loud and wanting to rip people apart for Annie's sake. I liked the characters very much and felt they had a great back history but the romance even though it was there and I enjoyed that part the most it still didn't have oomph I was hoping for. I felt that the big issues though dealt with were kind of swept under the rug. I honestly felt it was pushed much more so than I expected. If you're going to read the series I would defiantly recommend this book be read first because even though I feel a certain way about it I still enjoyed the moments between H/H and I also enjoyed the back and forth between the A-Tac team.
