I liked the concept of this book especially as it relates to the character Weed and his ability to communicate with plants and to know their medicinal qualities and how to use the plants to both hurt and help people. I also enjoyed Jessamine's character a young girl living with her father, trying to help her dad with his work especially as it relates to plants and their medicinal qualities. Her father of course we aren't supposed to like I suppose because he is driven to learn as much as he can about the medicinal value of plants and he is willing to do anything in order to acquire that knowledge, even the life of his daughter?
