Proof that you don't have to be famous to write a great memoir that sells. Episodic narrative works and the voice is powerful. Doesn't pull any punches, and the author doesn't angelicize herself. I've known a couple of women like her, and, believe me, she nails it. Must be hard to show these things about yourself, and what she writes is undoubtedly 1% of the stuff that's happened.
