Wow. I wasn't sure these books could get better, but how do you explain "An Autumn War?" The protagonist and the "villain" have perfectly justifiable reasons for the actions, both of which have devastating consequences for entire civilizations. The plot really moves, but it's the characters who anchor everything and will keep you up late into the night.
