I'd actually probably give this a 2.5 stars rating... in all fairness though, this isn't a genre that I read frequently - I read it because I needed a "U" author for my ABC Challenge.

Okay... here are some of my dislikes;

- Okay, so the main character, as is described on the jacket blurb, is betrayed by her husband, who is not who she thought he was. I get that she's upset and all... but I really didn't understand her motivation for trying to find him after he disappears. And "because that's who I am" is not a reason.

- Why the hell is there adultery in EVERY relationship in this book??? Does Lisa Unger think it's impossible to have a marriage without screwing someone else on the side??

- I wish that the switches between characters were separated per chapter... in just one random chapter you could read from the P.O.V. of about 4 different characters. It was distracting.

As for the things I liked...

- The husband. Yeah, he was the "bad guy". But at least his motivations actually made sense. Although he was an unfaithful bastard too, but you expect him to be a jerk.

- The descriptions of NYC and Prague were good...

- The story was generally easy-to-read, though I was so annoyed with the lack of a solid reason for the story that I was glad to be done.

Erica I completely agree about the switching between characters/thoughts/flashbacks a bit hard to follow. I think they should've been separated better to make it flow better
