More good writing from Kelley Armstrong. However, I only gave this book 3 stars because the main character wasn't my favorite. I guess it just seems to me that if you're going to write a story about a paranormal character who lives in a paranormal society where problems are solved with spells, violence, murder, etc. Then that character shouldn't be completely freaked out when that stuff happens. I understand that this character isn't as experienced or jaded about those things as Elena, that Paige has led a more sheltered life and that is what the author is trying to get across, but it's still a pet peeve of mine. That being said, the main character, Paige, did get better as the story went on, especially when Lucas entered the story. I love the characteristic sarcastic humor that runs through all the Kelley Armstrong books, including this one. Overall, a good introduction into the witch and sorcerer section of the otherworld.
