My mom gave me this to read, back some time in 2005. I'm not an avid book reader, and had before 2005 read approx. 3-4 books, for school purposes only. My mom was sure this would capture my interest and handed it to me for reading the backside of the cover. It did capture my interest. A young girl who commits a violent crime, when defending herself against her father's sexual abuse attempts at her, when her mother has just died. The poor girl does not wish to speak of it, and to tell the truth to anyone, at least before it's too late. She gets hold up in a womens prison where yet more horrible things happens to her. She gets used over and over again, as her past comes sneaking up on her. A true horrifying story, but yet very realistic. Wouldn't be surprised if this has actually happened.
I would like to see a movie adaption on this book, and if I can, I will make it myself.
