Molly's traveling from British Columbia to Oregon to rescue her sick grandparents. But post-Collapse travel is hard with no gas for cars and train tracks washed out. On her last leg of the trip, when she gets caught on the local trolley without a ticket, the tall young blond guy she barely knows talks the conductor out of arresting her. The conductor looked scared when he flashed his pass and said Molly was his guest. Molly wonders about this, but rushes on to her grandparents, where she find them worse off than she expected. With no money to travel back to Canada, how can she help them? When she runs into the tall blonde guy again, she asks him what he does. "Ask me no questions, and I'll tell you no lies" he grins. He seems to have connections that could help her, but can she trust him?

The first 50 pages or so are slow, so you could skip ahead and start at Chapter 7. I enjoyed the whole thing, but then again, I like dystopian ficiton with dashes of romance and adventure. In fact, I will probably read every single one that comes out this fall.
