Audiobook review. This is probably my very least favorite thus far of Nora Roberts. I usually enjoy her books very much but this one, though it's the same type of formula she's used a few times, seemed way below her quality of story telling.

This is also the first time I've listened to one of her books. All others, I've read. I thought the male narrator made the female characters sound more like a guy mimicking the women as if he was making fun of them, which I'm sure wasn't his intention. I've heard male narrators read for female characters before and have never felt that way. He made one of the male leads, Fox, sound like some surfer dude which is way out of place for a character that didn't grow up on the California beaches.

As for the story, it feels as if Roberts is doing some cookie cutter techniques with her series where the characters and location are different but the premise is kind of the same. I'm still enjoying it but I feel as if it's nothing new and therefore predictable.
