This was a good book with a lot of hanging threads to carry on into a series. The Lost shifters are shifters that were somehow separated from their families and grew up in human society. This is an interesting concept. Jacyn is one such shifter though he never had a clue until he was kidnapped and went through his first shift. The raven shifters are the bad guys in this series. There is a war going on between the feline shifters and the ravens. Logan, a black jaguar shifter and soldier, rescues Jacyn. I had a little trouble believing how fast these two fell in love but that's Ms Hecht's style. The story evolved well and was fairly fluid. The secondary characters were as interesting as Logan and Jaycn which again left plenty of room for more books. I felt bad for Rat who tries so hard for the snarky attitude to cover the likable, insecure guy underneath. Cassie and Brent were fun and I hope they remain in other books. This was a good start to a hopefully good series.
