really liked it

(Picture book selection)

This picture book deals with a serious theme (the fear of the unknown) in a very humorous way. The story (a squirrel is afraid to come down of his tree until he accidentally does and finds out that it's not so bad after all) is very approachable for young readers. The illustrations are simple yet very funny, in that comic strip kind of way. Overall a truly enjoyable book.

Note: this is the first in a series of books about Scaredy Squirrel.
