really liked it
bookshelves: biology, evolution
Recommended for: Adam Conover

As a biology book, Carroll's Endless Forms Most Beautiful is more detailed and scientific. As a defense of evolution, Dawkins' The Blind Watchmaker is zippier, and has more fluid prose. Nonetheless, this book is full of interesting animals and case studies in evolution, and I fully enjoyed it.

One thing I will say: it's much more biological than Watchmaker, at least insofar as I recall that book. So, if you liked that, but you want a bit more science and less polemic, this is a good next book.
