These are all ok. They are not horrible. I keep reading them, but if I can find something else to read I do.

For being so poor she has quite a bit of exotic food. Very few of the recipes included (none so far) would I write down to try myself. (There is another cook ~set in Minnesota~ that I enjoy a bit more.) Maybe I just can't relate to the ritzy class that is this area. Guards around her son's school? It's a bit much.

That being said, and skimming over the recipe prep, I enjoy these books. I just don't inhale them like other books. (how is that for a culinary twist? :) )
