After one decision to get drunk and go for a drive Alex is forced to do community service. Having to spend time with a cranky, mean, old man Solomon was not Alex's idea of a good time, but that is his punishment. On top of that fiasco, his dad is moving away and he's in love with his best friend. Alex dreads his visits with Solomon but he soon realizes there is a lot of wisdom underneath his wrinkly surface. Their mutual love of guitars brings them closer together, Alex gives Solomon peace and Solomon makes Alex take responsibility.
I thought this was a good, light read with a deep message. You reap what you sow.
