I stayed up way too late last night finishing this. While Frank wasn't as sympathetic as her other characters, I thought Ms. French did a fantastic job of characterizing him and making him his own person. I have to admit, after his behavior in the second book, I didn't have a very good opinion of him and wasn't sure I wanted to read a whole book told from his point of view. But, by the end of this book, while I still don't exactly like him, he is certainly more human and I understand where he came from. I can empathize with him a bit more, I guess. All in all, though, an incredible book. I've heard she has a new one coming out later this year and I can't wait.
