Read from July 05 to 07, 2010

Memorable bleak dystopian world, very visual, with a couple of glitches in believability (notably the teen girls' unquestioning obedience prior to the beginning of this story, and some inconsistencies in the breadth and depth of their knowledge about life and history beyond their small community).

Particularly loved the character of Amos. Would be interested in reading a prequel to this, and finding out more about the transition from our world to this one. A strong debut novel.
