really liked it

This book reminds me that being a teacher is truly a gift. Thank You, Mr. Falker would serve as a nice read aloud for grades three and up. Students would be able to relate to the shame and embarrassment, as well as the bullies. Because her teacher saw what she needed, Trisha was able to do what she'd always wanted to do - READ! The story is a true experience for the author, Patricia Polacco, which proves that nothing is out of reach. The pictures are wonderful and do stir a variety of emotions in the reader (her under the stairs at recess is very moving). The author hopes that this book will encourage students to thank their teachers; as a teacher, I hope I am able to give my students the tools that they need in order to accomplish their goals.
