I would build a religion around this series but this book was just...not fair to the trees, man.
I was stoked to see how a female-dominant relationship works within the changeling culture but Singh pussies out by making the man a dominant as well. I believe a romance novel of this ilk can work with a maternal-male, but Singh doesn't.
What was the most confusing is that the woman being four years older than the male was a big problem....Why? If the genders were flipped it wouldn't have been mentioned but in this book it was portrayed as an obvious disability for a relationship.
