really liked it

The book started off well, and I enjoyed it, the only gripe I have is that the ending felt rushed, it was a long book and the author took care to set the family up in a way that was methodical and easy to read, but with the changes in the villages and the changes within Sivakami's family, I felt that the ending was a little too rushed.

I also had an issue with Vairum's banishment of Sivakami, and Vani's illness was never explained to my satisfaction. I would have liked her to have been right in the end about her condition and see some recognition from Vairum (although that would have gone against the grain of his personality I presume).

Overall a fascinating read, and would recommend it.

Amanda Ishtayeh I think Sivakami and janaki were the only characters I ever connected with.
