** spoiler alert ** I can't say enough wonderful things about how damn good this book is. Seriously...


The foundation was laid, and you got to care about some of the characters, and really dislike a few others (not quite sure that I hated Magnus -- didn't like him sure, but hate??, Andy on the other hand, yeah, hated him) -- anyway just when you think things are going to get bad, they get BAD, hellaciously bad...and the book slams you back and forth and up and down, and the cows get split open and eaten, and then the people get hunted, and then the people are fighting themselves and the monsters, and it just keeps hitting you!

I just loved this book...the last 100 pages DO NOT LET UP -- once there, you had to just keep reading...glad I was able to, because...DAMN.
