really liked it
bookshelves: children-s, translated, romance
Read from July 04 to 05, 2010

This is the German book upon which THE PARENT TRAP is based, and it's darling! A touch old-fashioned in its storytelling, particularly the sudden revelations by the narrator in place of dramatization; but viewed in a historical light, that adds to its charm. And all the characters are quite real and delightful. It's long out of print, but copies are available via used online booksellers.
