The Secret Life of Josephine: Napoleon's Bird of Paradise
by Carolly Erickson
by Carolly Erickson
This book was interesting but not wonderful.
I feel a lot of the book was made up. It seems Miss Erickson has more interest in writing than doing her research. She also wrote The Secret Diary of Marie Antoinette. I had similar issues with both books. The history seemed sketchy and both ladies were hardly made into likable characters. I liked learning some more French history but I think next time I'll just pick up a non-fictional account.
