The Memory Collector

by Meg Gardiner
A great fast-paced book, perfect for a trip on the plane. This is a mystery of mind as well as plot; Dr. Beckett is a forensic psychiatrist who must find out the details of a plot against the United States from a man with anterograde amnesia -- in which he, (like the man in Memento) -- has limited short-term memory. It's fun to read a book with a female protagonist who's smart and savvy, and the book reads like a good action-packed movie. Perfect for the plane!
