Lackey is one of my favorite authors. This series is one of my favorite series. This book? One of my least favorite of both. It felt like the ending was one of those that you sometimes find - a "oh, yeah, I have to end this, so here's an ending" that's anticlimactic, and doesn't really make much sense. Still, I enjoy both the series and the author, so I'm being "nicer" in my rating of this book than normal.
